[Trying to disentangle himself from Cthulhu personified proved to be an impossible task. He managed to get his shoes, jacket and belt off, but he wasn't able to get up. He undid the top two buttons and his sleeve buttons and tried to get comfortable, but falling asleep hadn't been the easiest mission she'd set out for him.
Still, he somehow managed, but he's awake before she is, blinking slowly while watching her with his other senses. He keeps his hands in the sheets as she hides behind the curtain of fiery red hair, mentally counting down the time until she wakes up and panics.]
[And the penny drops in three, two, one.] --Uh. [She unburies her head and squints at him. Yeah, that is definitely Matt. On the one hand, at least she didn't have a drunken one-night stand. (She didn't have a drunken one-night stand, right? No, he's dressed, she's dressed, they're good.) On the other hand... Matt.
She's just going to attempt to casually disentangle herself from him. This is fine. No problems here. No one's feeling awkward, this is all very normal and fine.] Good morning?
[He doesn't move until she removes her tentacles limbs from him. And then he shifts, only slightly at first before sitting up. Well, she didn't scream, slap him, burst into tears or accuse him of taking advantage of the situation she'd dragged him into, so. That's a win. He turned his head away from her and patted down her bedside table for his shades. It'll be less awkward with the armour on, right?] How are you feeling? I'll get you some aspirin. And coffee.
[She rolls away from him a little to make it easier for him to get up, and groans again.] Yes. Please. [Both of those things sound amazing right now, he is a godsend, A+ knight in shining sunglasses.] I feel terrible. I have a lot of regrets right now.
Don't. You had a good night. You got home safely. Nothing bad happened. [That's better than how most of Matthew's nights used to go when he went off moonlighting as a vigilante, and he didn't tend to regret too many of those nights either. He busies himself getting the coffee going before searching for the aspirin.] ...is it anything you want to talk about?
Ah. Well hopefully this will help. [He finally finds the aspirin and wanders back into the bedroom to offer it to her, gesturing vaguely towards the water sitting next to her.]
Nothing happened that I would file a lawsuit over. It's not our first time after all. [He's only joking. Or is he?]
Bless you. [She'll just be taking her painkillers before anything else, thank you, and gulp down like three-quarters of the water before she puts it back down on the bedside table.] 'Nothing happened I would sue you in a court of law for' seems like a pretty low bar, but I'll take it.
